Get Help for Your Business
New York State has ordered that all non-essential businesses work remotely or close. Essential businesses include: pharmacies, grocery, bodegas, and convenience stores, laundromats, auto repair, and childcare. Restaurants and bars can also stay open but only for takeout and delivery. For more information about which businesses can stay open, visit the NYS’s Guidance page. If you believe your business is an essential business that needs to stay open, but it is not listed in the order, you can apply for an exemption here.
Update (4/14): New York State recently issued additional guidance that allows non-essential retail establishments (as defined by the Empire State Development Corporation) to fulfill delivery orders placed remotely via phone or online. Please note that only one employee may be physically present at the business location to fulfill orders. The City is working hard to keep New Yorkers safe by enforcing social distancing guidelines. We encourage you to let your neighbors and enforcement officials know that you’re operating under these guidelines by posting a sign on the door or front window like this one.
